Senior Sustainability Engineer at Cox Enterprises

Cox Enterprises is hiring a Senior Sustainability Engineer to support the Carbon Capital Team in developing and managing energy and sustainability projects that advance the company’s Cox Conserves goals. The role focuses on energy assessments, project development, financial modeling, and implementation of energy conservation initiatives across facilities.

Location : Atlanta, GA (hybrid) Travel : Up to 50% Salary : $89,400–$134,000 + potential incentives

Key Responsibilities

Conduct facility-level energy assessments and sustainability audits

Develop and manage energy conservation and capital projects

Build financial models and analyze environmental impacts

Oversee project execution, vendors, and contractors

Support budgeting, reporting, and performance tracking for sustainability initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field) and 4+ years of experience, or equivalent experience

3+ years of project development/management experience

Experience with energy modeling, facility systems, and sustainability projects preferred
