Build a Career in Drilling — Not Just a Job Midway Drilling Services is looking for a dependable Drilling Assistant to work with our drilling crews on environmental and geotechnical projects throughout Indiana and surrounding states. This is a hands-on field position. You will be working outdoors, around heavy equipment, and as part of a small crew that depends on each other to get the job done safely and efficiently. Candidates with 1–2 years of construction, drilling, or field experience are preferred, but we are willing to train someone with a strong work ethic and the right attitude. This position offers a clear path to becoming a Driller for individuals who show reliability, mechanical ability, and leadership potential. Pay is based on experience and qualifications. What a Typical Week Looks Like

Most weeks start early Monday morning loading equipment and heading to the job site. Work may include drilling soil borings, installing monitoring wells, or collecting samples for environmental or geotechnical projects. Crews typically work outdoors throughout the day operating equipment, handling tooling, and completing field documentation. Some projects are local and allow crews to return home each evening, while others may involve short regional travel during the week. The job is physical, hands-on, and requires teamwork to complete projects safely and efficiently. What You'll Do

Work alongside the Driller to set up, operate, and break down drilling equipment Load and unload tooling, materials, and samples Carry and connect augers, drill rods, and sampling tools Collect soil samples and assist with boring logs and field documentation Shovel auger cuttings and assist with backfilling borings Drive company vehicles to job sites Help inspect and maintain drilling equipment and tools Follow jobsite safety procedures and participate in daily safety planning Work as part of a small crew to complete projects safely and efficiently Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card Ability to meet OSHA medical requirements for HAZWOPER field work Strong work ethic and reliable attendance Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Physically capable of lifting, carrying, bending, and performing labor-intensive work Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced drillers Preferred Experience

1–2 years of drilling, construction, or field work Mechanical or equipment experience CDL Class A or B, or willingness to obtain one If you do not currently have a 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification, training can be provided for qualified candidates. What We Offer
