Client is seeking a highly skilled Active Directory and Windows Server Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Active a Directory structures, as well as managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Active Directory, DNS, Client, PowerShell, and server administration. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Active Directory Design and Implementation:
Design, deploy, and maintain Active Directory structures that align with organizational requirements and best practices. User and Group Management:
Create, modify, and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions to ensure secure and efficient access to network resources. Group Policy Management:
Develop and enforce Group Policies to standardize and secure desktop configurations, application settings, and security settings across the network. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve issues related to Active Directory, authentication, and access control in a timely and efficient manner. Security and Compliance:
Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Backup and Recovery:
Establish and maintain reliable backup and recovery processes for Active Directory, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of data loss or system failure. Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Active Directory configurations, policies, and procedures. Upgrades and Patch Management:
Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure the security and performance of the Active Directory environment. DNS Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot DNS service and resolution issues. DNS Management:
Assist in the management and support of internal and external DNS systems. Client Management:
Manage Distributed File System (Client) namespaces and replication. PowerShell Scripting:
Utilize PowerShell for automation, administration, and troubleshooting tasks. Server Administration:
Perform server administration, performance tuning, and network troubleshooting across all Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2012R2 and above. Skills and Specifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Experience:
Approximately 10 years of relevant work experience required. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of virtual environments. Extensive experience with Active Directory, DNS, Client, and PowerShell. Proficient in server administration and network troubleshooting, particularly in Windows Server 2012R2 and above. Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or other industry certifications are a plus. Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering timely and effective solutions. Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation.
