Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service in the retail banking environment and develop strong customer relationships to grow customer base and increase deposit account/service production and consumer loan production. May perform vault duties including cash shipments and distribution of money to other PBs, cash recyclers and ATMs. May assist with in branch security duties. Demonstrate a solid understanding of banking products and services to assist customers with appropriate selection to meet their individual needs. Assist customers with all aspects of opening and maintaining deposit accounts (checking, savings, time deposits, IRAs, Safe Deposit Boxes, etc.) and services (debit cards, online banking, ACH, Merchant Processing, Remote Deposit Capture, etc.). Assist customers with all aspects of the consumer loan application process including interviewing, educating, recommending appropriate products, and communicating with customers throughout the process. Order credit reports and validate borrower's credit, income, assets, and any other required information. Understand and explain loan terms and conditions to customers. Attend and present to loan committee when required for approval. Order appraisals as appropriate. Conduct loan closings and ensure all loan file documentation is in order. Assist with perfection of liens. Able to understand and review legal documentation. Assist with outgoing wire transfer requests. May assist with the training of Retail Banking peers. Refer customers to in-house financial experts and/or relevant bank departments, such as business banking, commercial lending, mortgage lending, and wealth management when appropriate. Assist with personal and business credit card applications. Assist with customer or referral source inquiries in person, via phone or email. Represent and promote the bank professionally in the community and at community events. Perform job duties in compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, practices, and procedures, including the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act). NMLS registration is required, including annual renewal. Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager. Qualifications Required: High School diploma or equivalent. 1-year new accounts experience 2-years consumer loan and consumer real estate loan origination experience Valid driver's license as some travel between branches, to/from Corporate, or to customer locations may be required Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Standing or sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to operate computer applications and basic business equipment Qualifications Preferred: 2 years new account experience 3 years consumer loan origination experience 1 year experience training/mentoring peers Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of sound customer service principles. Knowledge of cash handling and accuracy. Knowledge of how to open and maintenance new deposit accounts. Knowledge of entity types and entity-related terminology. Knowledge of analysis and understanding of financial data. Knowledge of consumer lending products and regulations. Knowledge of how to communicate effectively. Knowledge of how to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of how to effectively follow established processes and procedures. Knowledge of arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Attention to detail.
