RENK America Marine & Industry is seeking a
Sales Manager – Industrial
responsible for pursuing opportunities for success in the industrial high speed (power generation and oil & gas) gearbox and couplings market. This position will build relationships with potential and current clients while developing strategies to increase revenue and market share.
Essential Functions
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders aligned with RENK objectives.
Actively lead your own developed market, Requests for Information/Proposal.
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
Develop new accounts and maintain existing accounts by establishing a personal working relationship with key customer decision makers based on value, knowledge, trust, and character.
Support lead generation, pursuit process, and contract negotiations with new clients.
Develop and lead campaigns to secure RENK’s aftermarket potential in the US.
Work closely with customers to understand their most urgent needs and develop pursuit strategies to address the need.
Seek opportunities to participate and support networking opportunities.
Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of national market, client, and technology trends and advancements.
Maintain competitive intelligence and market information on industrial gearbox technologies, designs and other aspects of the power generation and oil & gas industry.
Attend industry events, research industry trends, and communicate critical information on market trends back to the management and the RENK Group team.
Responsible to meet order intake and margin targets.
Support engagement with decision makers to acquire R&D funds for efforts that support the international strategy.
Maintaining close working relationships with other corporate areas: Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
Prepare and present formal presentations to end users and customers.
A strong passion and interest in the high speed and couplings gearbox industry.
Highly motivated, self-starter able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers, coworkers, and senior executive management.
Tenacious drive for results within a solutions mindset that seeks to deeply understand the customer and customer needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.
Must have ability to forge teams, partnerships, and alliances to win acquisitions.
Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of RENK Group products, services, and applications.
Possess interpersonal communications skills (Verbal and written).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts at one time.
Ability to travel up to 60%.
Qualifications
Deep customer knowledge and familiarity of the market environment.
Experience in business development within the high-speed gearbox market environment demonstrated performance winning new business.
Must have existing relationship oil & gas and power generation personnel.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or technical field with 6+ years relevant experience.
Master’s degree in Business Administration and/or technical field with 4+ years relevant experience.
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows based PC tools.
Driver's License for Business Travel.
Employment Full-time, Exempt.
