The
Structural Designer
is responsible for performing standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations. Extracts design/architectural data from various prescribed sources. Processes data following well-defined methods. Performs routine analysis to check applicability, accuracy, and reasonableness of data. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs routine layout and design tasks for routine projects. Learns to and assists others in obtaining field measurements. Produces sketches and system schematics for routine design tasks. Incorporates design concepts into design development and works with project team to produce construction documents. Coordinates clearances with other design professionals. Selects details which will be used on projects. Documents existing conditions and performs some troubleshooting. Edits technical specifications sections. Reviews drawings and documents to ensure compliance with firm design and production standards. Uses computer programs and spreadsheets for engineering presentations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Technical or Associates Degree in applicable design disciplines from an accredited technical institution or college required. 1+ years of previous design training or experience required. MUST be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit.
