Compensation
Compensation Plan: Depending on qualifications/experience, this opportunity can offer up to an hourly rate of $48.08 per hour ($100,000 per year) plus paid overtime at 1.5x.

Job Description
The company is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Designer – Revit/BIM to join their structural engineering team. This position develops high-quality 3D structural models and 2D construction documents for diverse commercial building projects. This role requires a professional who can bridge the gap between engineering concepts and constructible digital models, ensuring seamless coordination with their architect and design-build contractor clients.
Responsibilities
Model Development: Create and maintain detailed 3D structural BIM models in Autodesk Revit from engineering sketches, notes, and architectural backgrounds. Structural components include steel, concrete, masonry and wood.
Drafting & Documentation: Produce clear, well-organized structural plans, details, and sections using Revit. (AutoCAD proficiency a plus).
Coordination: Interface and coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP files to identify and resolve clashes or constructability issues before they reach the field.
Quality Control: Use Bluebeam Revu for detailed drawing reviews, redline markups, and project documentation management.
Standards Management: Implement and maintain company BIM standards, including Revit families, templates, and sheet sets, to ensure consistency across all deliverables.
Collaboration: Work alongside staff engineers to translate complex calculations into accurate structural plans and details.
Qualifications
Required:
Experience: 2+ years of experience in structural drafting/modeling/designing for commercial buildings.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of structural building systems, construction practices, and general drafting standards (Concrete, steel, masonry, and wood).
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural). Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
Software Competency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Bluebeam Revu.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for daily collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Degree in CAD Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field, or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience working specifically with design-build contractors or in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Familiarity with BIM 360 for cloud-based project coordination.
