Make a Difference for Fathers and Families
Children’s Network of Southwest Florida (CNSWFL) is seeking a passionate Fatherhood Engagement Specialist to support and strengthen the role of fathers within the child welfare system. This position works alongside case management and community partners to increase father participation in services, improve communication, and promote healthy, stable relationships between fathers and their children.
Preference will be given to individuals with lived experience in the child welfare system who can connect authentically with fathers navigating similar challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of father engagement programs and initiatives
Build relationships with fathers and connect them to services and resources
Assist in locating fathers and establishing paternity when needed
Serve as a liaison between case management and community partners
Collaborate with agencies such as Child Support Enforcement and Department of Corrections
Support training efforts related to engaging fathers in the child welfare process
Track engagement activities and support data collection efforts
Promote positive and stable father-child relationships
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working with diverse communities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred: lived experience in the child welfare system
Full-time position (40 hours per week)
Monday–Friday business hours with occasional evenings/weekends
Travel required within Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit (Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, and Glades counties)
