Media Channel Manager
Tenicor, Moscow, ID, United States
Overview
The Media Channel Manager manages the strategy of our YouTube channel to deliver high-value training and firearm related content that equips the professionally minded firearm users with performance insights. Lead and manage a team of content creators across the full production process. The manager ensures content aligns with the brand strategy, optimizes for visibility on YouTube's algorithm, and analyzes data to refine strategies, ultimately aiming to grow subscribers, views, and audience retention. Reports to the Brand Director.
Responsibilities
Clearly communicate Tenicor’s goals and expectations and maintain accountability for your team: You’d be expected to lead and manage the existing content team and contribute to the content production process. Oversee video ideation, scripting, filming, and editing. This might involve coordinating shoots at ranges or on location, collaborating with instructors or influencers, and ensuring high-quality visuals that highlight product reliability in defensive scenarios.
Execution of brand vision though engaging content: Shape and implement a content plan that aligns with the brand's goals, such as promoting new product launches or training series. This includes researching topics and professional perspectives in the firearm space (e.g., concealed carry optimization or skill testing under stress) and ensuring videos resonate with target audiences like everyday carriers, performance shooters, law enforcement, or self-defense enthusiasts.
Content Analytics: Track all YT related metrics using YouTube Analytics. Use insights to iterate on strategies, such as identifying which concealed carry tutorial videos perform best and adjusting future content accordingly. This data-driven approach is essential for scaling our growing channel.
Optimization and SEO: Coach and implement frameworks that improve the content team's cross-technical aspects like crafting compelling titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and end screens to boost discoverability.
Team Leadership and Development: Provide Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) for the content team, mentoring creators to enhance their skills in scripting, editing, and on-camera performance.
Instructor and Partner Collaboration: Schedule and coordinate content shoots with shooting instructors and other partners, leveraging their expertise for authentic demos and co-branded videos.
