Our journeys are designed for curious, purpose-driven travelers seeking meaningful experiences in nature. Each departure is intentionally limited to 8–12 travelers, allowing for deeper access, richer storytelling, and thoughtful engagement with the people and places we visit.
TerraFauna collaborates with conservationists, Indigenous communities, and local experts to design journeys that not only inspire travelers but also directly support the protection of ecosystems and wildlife.

The Role
TerraFauna Journeys is seeking a highly motivated Journey Sales Manager to lead and grow sales for our conservation-focused small-group journeys.
This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a minimum of two years of sales experience, preferably within the travel industry, who understands how to generate qualified leads, build trusted relationships, and convert interest into confirmed bookings.
The Journey Sales Manager will focus exclusively on selling TerraFauna’s small-group journeys. This role does not include custom or private trip planning.
Beyond selling journeys, this is an opportunity for the right person to collaborate closely with the founder to help build TerraFauna’s sales strategy and systems from the ground up. The ideal candidate will enjoy contributing ideas around outreach, partnerships, and lead generation while helping refine the processes that support the company’s growth.
You will serve as a key ambassador for TerraFauna Journeys, guiding prospective travelers from initial inquiry through confirmed booking, ensuring each interaction reflects the care, authenticity, and purpose that define our brand.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates should be comfortable with relationship-driven sales and have prior experience generating and closing leads in the premium or luxury travel space.
Key Responsibilities
Generate qualified leads for TerraFauna’s small-group journeys
Guide prospective travelers through the discovery and booking process
Manage inbound and outbound inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads
Represent TerraFauna Journeys as an ambassador of the brand and mission
Collaborate with the founder to refine TerraFauna’s sales strategy and lead generation approach
Identify partnership, event, and outreach opportunities that support journey sales
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activity
Stay up to date on TerraFauna journeys, destinations, and conservation partners
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with demonstrated success closing high-value experiences or services
Experience in travel sales, luxury travel, expedition travel, or experiential travel strongly preferred
Strong lead generation and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and video
A natural rapport builder who can inspire confidence and excitement in prospective travelers
Highly organized and comfortable managing a sales pipeline
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
Passion for nature, conservation, and meaningful travel experiences
Compensation & Incentives This is a commission-based 1099 contractor role. Compensation is earned through commission on confirmed bookings for TerraFauna’s small-group journeys. Estimated earnings will vary based on performance and number of bookings. Typical small-group departures include 8–12 travelers. Commissions are paid after final payment is received, typically 60 days prior to departure.
Commission Structure
10% commission on confirmed bookings
Performance bonuses for filling an entire departure
Additional bonuses tied to annual revenue milestones
Estimated annual earnings for this role are expected to range between: $20,000 – $120,000+ annually depending on the number of travelers booked and departures filled.
