Overview
Multnomah Athletic Club is a Portland-based organization offering a wide range of sports, fitness, and social amenities. This role is a full-time, on-site Concierge Specialist at our Portland, OR club. You will be the welcoming face of MAC and a key ambassador for our member experience, greeting and assisting members, guests, and employees, providing access, wayfinding, and knowledgeable guidance about the full range of services, amenities, and programs our club offers. You will deliver consistently exceptional service and help support a safe and secure environment by upholding club policies and communicating any concerns to the management team. What You’ll Do
Respond to member inquiries and requests with friendly, efficient service.
Manage reservations for club services in alignment with established guidelines.
Communicate with other departments to keep members informed about programs and activities.
Troubleshoot registration and reservation issues to ensure member satisfaction.
Provide member amenities such as cards, guest passes, and related materials.
Share accurate information about club programs, facilities, and policies.
Educate and enforce guest policies in accordance with Club Rules.
Issue reciprocal guest passes, collect fees, and follow secure transaction procedures.
Maintain desk organization and inventory supplies.
Follow all club safety procedures to support a secure environment.
Assist with light administrative tasks and projects.
Process member payment envelopes and ensure timely deposits.
Participate in required club training sessions.
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma is required; an associate’s degree or some college is preferred.
A minimum of two years of customer service experience.
Proficiency in English (spoken, written, and read).
Exceptional customer service skills with a courteous and effective interpersonal approach.
Basic computer skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to relevant club software.
Capacity to learn emergency procedures and respond efficiently in critical situations.
Ability to retain a significant amount of information, including procedures, club rules, and schedules.
Diplomatic and effective communication skills to handle members, guests, and employees.
