KFSN-TV/ABC30 Action News, the ABC Owned Television station in Central California, is seeking a General Assignment Reporter to join our top-rated news team. We want someone who thrives on breaking news and excels at telling accurate, balanced, and engaging stories.
Responsibilities
Research, set up interviews, and write content daily.
Collaborate with photojournalists, producers, assignment editors, and managers to execute story assignments.
Effectively deliver breaking news live on-air, without a script.
Shoot and edit stories as needed.
Fill-in anchor as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of reporting experience preferred; demonstrated storytelling and journalism skills considered.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of the Central Valley.
Bilingual skills.
Success creating engaging vertical videos for social media.
College Degree required.
Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this SAG-AFTRA role in Fresno, California is $60,000 to $70,000 per year. The base pay may vary based on geographic region and candidate qualifications.
