Role Summary
Our client is a well-established Microsoft Gold Certified ERP consulting firm serving clients across New York City and the Northeast. They are seeking a Technical Consultant to join their Business Central practice - a role that sits at the intersection of technical architecture and accounting operations. You will work directly with clients to manage and optimize complex multi-entity Business Central environments, design reporting solutions in Power BI, and ensure seamless data integrations across third-party platforms. This is not a development-only role: you must be equally comfortable discussing general ledger structures and financial reporting requirements as you are configuring database dimensions and managing data migrations. The team is collaborative, client-focused, and deeply experienced in Microsoft Dynamics, and you will have direct visibility with clients from day one.
Responsibilities • Manage and optimize multi-entity Business Central environments, including database structures and global dimension configurations • Build and maintain sophisticated reports and dashboards using Power BI and native Business Central reporting tools • Oversee third-party software integrations and execute data imports and migrations with accuracy and minimal disruption • Apply accounting principles to ensure technical configurations support financial accuracy, including multi-company consolidations • Conduct deep-dive research into system issues, extensions, and process improvements to continuously enhance client environments • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients on Business Central capabilities, translating technical concepts into actionable guidance
Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on, active experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central • Proven expertise in Business Central databases, dimensions, and Power BI reporting • Strong understanding of accounting principles including multi-company consolidations and financial reporting • Experience managing or supporting third-party integrations and data migration projects • Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues through structured research and testing • Must be based in the Metro New York area with availability for regular on-site client meetings
Why Apply for This Position? • Join a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner with nearly 30 years of presence in the New York market and a strong reputation in the Dynamics ecosystem • Work on complex, meaningful engagements with clients across diverse industries in the NYC metro area • Operate at the intersection of technical consulting and financial operations - a rare combination that expands your professional value • Collaborative team environment with deep Dynamics expertise and strong client relationships
