Financial Due Diligence Director

As a Financial Due Diligence Director, you'll focus on middle-market transactions, serving dynamic organizations with experienced professionals who bring a full range of advisory services to validate, optimize and create value for the Transaction Advisory Practice all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. Our Financial Due Diligence solution is comprised of several integrated capabilities that support our clients' needs throughout the transaction lifecycle. From day one, you'll be empowered to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently. Your day-to-day may include: Leading buy-side and sell-side transactions for our client base which includes corporate clients, private equity groups and commercial lenders Managing engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle and coordinating other Grant Thornton capabilities by leveraging the expertise of other service lines, cross-functional teams, and international colleagues as needed Serving as the day-to-day point person on engagements; leading meetings and calls with clients and target management Planning, executing, directing and completing financial due diligence for financial and strategic buyers across a variety of industries Examining & analyzing client data to identify key trends, quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital impacts Drafting reports to socialize our findings around quality of earnings, net working capital and business performance including insights around the key financial and business issues in a transaction Managing client expectations concerning timing, progress, deliverables, deadlines, and leading change efforts effectively Developing and maintaining strong client relationships Managing business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material Working closely with engagement teams and partners to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues Meeting or exceeding sales targets for new and follow-on work Meeting or exceeding targeted billing hours (utilization) Managing, developing, training, coaching and mentoring staff on projects and assessing performance for engagement and year-end reviews Leading and supporting business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients Motivating others to perform at maximum efficiency without sacrificing quality of the services delivered Interviewing campus and/or experienced candidates Other duties as assigned You have the following technical skills, qualifications, and abilities: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required, Advanced degree preferred Minimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level required Industry recognized professional certification required, CPA or related license/certification preferred Strong current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions required Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice Strong leadership, business development, recruitment, training, and mentoring skills Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills Can travel as needed.
