Starting Pay Rate: $16.00 hourly

As a Marina Porter, you will help keep our guest cabins clean, comfortable, and ready for every stay! In this role, you'll clean and prepare cabins, refresh linens, restock supplies, safely use cleaning equipment, and help keep storage areas organized. You'll also assist with moving furniture when needed and make sure every cabin is spotless and secure before the next guest arrives.
What does a Marina Porter do?
Attain work assignments and necessary supplies in a timely manner. Immediately reports to the assigned area.
Provide a thorough cleaning of the assigned area.
Assist in moving furniture and equipment utilizing proper safety techniques.
Properly use all equipment required to perform assigned tasks.
Maintain and clean all equipment used at the end of each shift or immediately after use. Immediately notifies the Supervisor of any damage or malfunctioning equipment.
Maintain familiarity with all chemicals and the proper uses of such.
Maintain the storeroom in a neat and orderly fashion. Advise the Supervisor of any needed supplies.
Cleans problem areas both in and "out" of the assigned area.
Ensure the cabin is vacant before entering to clean. Effectively prepares the cabin for cleaning.
Always remove all soiled linens from the room and make the bed with clean linens.
Follow all procedures and guidelines for thoroughly cleaning the bathrooms.
Ensure cabin is thoroughly clean; always replenish supplies.
Always double-checks and secures the cabin before leaving.

Prior cleaning experience is required.
Experience in a guest contact position.
To possess excellent communication skills.
The ability to use a Smartphone.
A valid driver’s license.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to
61 - 70
pounds.
