The Senior Property Management Recruiter plays a critical role in attracting, engaging, and hiring top‑tier talent while serving as a trusted partner to hiring managers across Elmington’s diverse lines of business.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Proven ability to manage a high‑volume requisition load (40+ positions simultaneously) across varied functions and seniority levels
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to coach, influence, and collaborate effectively with hiring managers and leadership
Expertise in strategic sourcing, talent pipelining, and market research
Experience in property management recruiting with successful placements including Community Directors, Assistant Community Directors, Leasing Consultants, Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, and Groundskeepers
High‑level organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands
Proficiency in recruiting platforms and internet tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, applicant tracking systems, etc.)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ethical conduct and commitment to confidentiality
Ability to identify process improvements and drive efficiency
Recruitment metrics: track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make data‑driven improvements
Analytical skills: analyze recruitment metrics to make data‑driven decisions
Problem‑solving: address recruitment challenges and improve processes
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serve as a strategic talent advisor to hiring managers, consulting on hiring needs, market trends, and recruitment strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders, ensuring clear alignment between role requirements and candidate profiles
Manage a requisition portfolio of 40+ openings, prioritizing based on business needs and timelines
Develop targeted sourcing strategies using multiple channels, including direct outreach, job boards, social media, referrals, and networking events
Screen and assess candidates to ensure qualifications, cultural fit, and long‑term potential
Lead the interview process, from scheduling and coordination to candidate debriefs and hiring decision support
Maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring teams to ensure a transparent, positive experience
Lead employment branding efforts to promote Elmington as an employer of choice
Support onboarding processes to ensure smooth new hire transitions
Utilize ATS (Paycor Recruiting) to maintain accurate candidate records, track metrics, and ensure compliance
Attend and represent Elmington at job fairs, career events, and industry networking functions
Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and elevate the overall talent acquisition function
Perform all other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required
5+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience in property management, preferably with high‑volume, multi‑department corporate roles
Demonstrated success managing 40+ requisitions concurrently
Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and executives to influence hiring outcomes
Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Glassdoor, and applicant tracking systems (Paycor Recruiting preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequently sit, stand and walk.
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary.
