The Carolina Master Chorale (CMC), a premier choral ensemble celebrating its 43rd anniversary season, seeks an accomplished and visionary Choral Director to provide artistic leadership beginning in the 2026–2027 season.
Based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the Carolina Master Chorale presents a diverse repertoire ranging from traditional and lesser-known choral masterworks to operatic productions, contemporary works, Broadway selections, vocal jazz, and gospel music. The ensemble is dedicated to artistic excellence and to enriching the cultural life of the Coastal Carolina community.
Responsibilities
Conducting rehearsals and performances Planning and developing concert programming in collaboration with the Artistic Affairs Committee and Board of Directors Recruiting, auditioning, and mentoring chorale members Supervising collaborative pianists and other artistic staff Mentoring the Music Director of the Carolina Youth Chorale Participating in community outreach and fundraising efforts
