ELECTRIC DEPT. DIRECTOR

Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works is a municipal utility providing electric, gas, and water services in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are located in Greenwood County which has a population of approximately 70,000.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and oversight on projects to improve electrical systems at our six distribution substations and 24 distribution circuits serving approximately 12,500 customers.
Perform analyses of the electrical system and prepare and review detailed engineering calculations.
Negotiate joint use and other various agreements.
Oversee two operational supervisors, two field and SCADA technicians, and assist with maintenance and operation of all communication systems company-wide.
Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in South Carolina preferred.
Five to seven years of progressively responsible administrative and technical experience in public utilities, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
