Brand Content and Social Media Lead

About this role As the Brand Communications and Content Manager, you are responsible for creating and amplifying the signature M.M.LaFleur voice across all types of external communications, especially social media and ads. You will establish M.M.LaFleur as a thought leader in both new and existing customer spaces, working as an integral member of the creative team, wearing multiple hats, and collaborating with key stakeholders to execute daily, weekly, and quarterly initiatives. You will own M.M.’s social media channels, develop strategy, create engaging content for both organic and paid social, and give the brand a voice in social trends. Your work will position M.M. as relevant, drive word‑of‑mouth growth, and build community for new and existing customers.

What you will do

Social Content

Strengthen M.M.LaFleur’s online presence by using content to establish and grow brand presence on various platforms

Stay apprised of real‑time trends and activate accordingly as needed

Define the role of each social media channel and their unique audiences + ecosystems

Translate brand campaigns into storytelling on social channels

Manage social content calendar, working closely with internal partners to interpret brand strategy and tent‑pole moments through a social lens

Participate in and film live events and behind‑the‑scenes content for Instagram and TikTok

Manage content creation: source visuals with the Art Director, identify creative needs, help create photos/videos on the fly, copywrite across all platforms

“Cut through the noise” with thoughtful, memorable, and differentiating messages

Use social channels to drive brand awareness, engagement, and increase followers

Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting structures with insights, competitive analysis, KPIs, and improvement agenda

Community Management

Cultivate an active online community by driving participation on our social media channels and Slack workspace

Build trust and strong relationships by understanding customer needs and fostering meaningful interactions

Write brand copy, including but not limited to:

SMS communications

Social media: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn

Events: landing page copy, promotional emails, signage

Retail initiatives: store announcements, promotional emails, newsletters

M Dash articles

Influencer Support

Assist with influencer communications and follow‑ups via ShopMy

Track influencer orders and create ShopMy lookbooks

Build support for retail locations via influencer appointments

Who you are

In touch with social media trends and able to respond quickly

Skilled writer, editor, and storyteller with an eye for detail

Creative thinker and proactive worker who always searches for new ideas and angles

Able to continuously evaluate channel performance and pivot when needed

Able to create basic visual content using Instagram and TikTok

This is a hybrid position based in our corporate office in lower Manhattan. The role requires office presence three days per week.

Salary (NYC applicant) : $85,000–$100,000, plus eligibility for the company’s equity program, 401(k), and benefits.
