Job Description Summary Reporting to the Sr. Manager- Sales Compensation, the main function of Incentive Compensation Analyst is to timely and accurately process sales incentives for the various sales teams for the associate BU of responsibility. This includes participating in the annual review, updating the Sales Incentive Plans, administering compensation plans, working with business partners (such as Sales, Finance, HR, and Comp Team) to obtain crucial data for processing, generating revenue reports through reporting tools such as Captivate IQ & Power BI, working with complex formulas in Excel, and providing excellent service by resolving/researching sales rep’s inquiries in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Calculate sales commissions according to sales compensation plans and policies, ensuring commission and bonus calculations are done accurately and in a timely manner.

Validate and reconcile data from multiple systems (PBI, ERP, Captivate IQ).

Investigate discrepancies, identify data quality issues, and coordinate resolution with cross‑functional partners.

Support training materials and enablement for new plans or system changes.

Update sales compensation system with actual sales results, individual quotas, employee information, and compensation plan information.

Resolve commission questions and issues from their assigned Sales team in a timely fashion.

Provide support and ad hoc reports for Sales & Finance Leaders.

Generate analytical reports and data visualizations to track performance-to-plan, identify trends, validate commission accuracy, and inform compensation strategy decisions.

Participate in the annual update and distribution of individual Compensation Plans and collection of their plan agreements.

Use incentive compensation management tools (e.g. Captivate IQ) to run calculations and generate statements.

Work with Captivate IQ Administrator during annual compensation cycle to perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure Plan Programming is accurate.

Required Experience / Education

High School diploma with 4 years of experience in incentive compensation, sales operations, financial analysis, or analytics; OR

Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience in incentive compensation, sales operations, financial analysis, or analytics; OR

Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred

Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.

Strong analytical and Excel skills (lookup functions, pivot tables, formulas).

Ability to interpret complex compensation rules and translate them into accurate calculations.

High attention to detail, accuracy, and process discipline.

Experience with IC platforms (Captivate IQ, Qlik, Power BI).

Knowledge of commercial sales processes, quota setting, crediting models, and territory management.

Advanced data skills (SQL, Python, or BI dashboards) a plus.

Experience working with or supporting field sales teams.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Candidate should be well organized and possess good analytical and communication skills, act independently, and feel comfortable interacting with Senior Leadership.

Candidate must be highly proficient working with Microsoft Excel and reasonably proficient with other applications such as MS Word and MS PowerPoint; and be willing to learn Power BI and Captivate IQ.

Salary Range Information $73,400.00 - $121,200.00 USD Annual
