Content Creator - Alden Laurel · Concord, MA · Field + Remote · Part-Time to Full-Time
About Alden Laurel
Alden Laurel is a premier landscape design/build and garden maintenance company serving affluent communities across MetroWest Boston - including Concord, Weston, Wellesley, Lincoln, and Lexington. We design and install luxury outdoor living spaces: fine gardens, outdoor kitchens, saunas, pools, and full property transformations for discerning homeowners.
We're building a brand that matches the caliber of our work, and we need a talented content creator to bring our projects to life on Instagram, and eventually YouTube. The Role This is a shoot-and-create role, not a schedule-and-report role. You'll spend the majority of your time in the field with our crews - capturing the transformation of luxury residential properties from concept to completion. You'll work under the direction of our Creative Director who will set the content strategy, visual direction, and posting cadence. Your job is to execute at a high level, consistently.
What You'll Do
Shoot high-quality photo and video content on active job sites across MetroWest Boston, including before/during/after project documentation, crew action shots, material close-ups, and finished reveals
Edit short-form video (Reels, Stories) and design carousels optimized for Instagram engagement—with a focus on pacing, hooks, and visual storytelling
Capture authentic, behind-the-scenes content that showcases our craftsmanship, team culture, and the luxury lifestyle our clients enjoy
Coordinate with the Creative Director on a weekly content calendar, receiving feedback and iterating on creative direction
Write compelling captions that balance aspirational lifestyle language with approachable expertise- no generic "spring is here!" posts
Stay current on Instagram algorithm changes, trending audio, and content formats to keep our feed fresh and discoverable
Organize and maintain a content library of raw footage, edited assets, and project photography
Support longer-form content development for YouTube as the channel grows (project walkthroughs, design process videos, seasonal guides)
What We're Looking For
Strong eye for visual composition and natural light - you see a half-built stone wall at golden hour and instinctively reach for your camera
Proficiency shooting on iPhone (or mirrorless) and editing in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent tools
Native understanding of Instagram's content formats: Reels pacing, carousel storytelling, Story engagement tactics, and feed aesthetics
Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons alongside landscape crews
Coachable and collaborative - you take creative direction well and are hungry to improve
Portfolio or personal Instagram that demonstrates strong visual sensibility (doesn't need to be landscape-related)
Reliable transportation to job sites across Lincoln, Concord, Weston, Wellesley, and Lexington
Nice to Have
Experience creating content for luxury, home, or lifestyle brands
Drone photography/videography capability (Part 107 license a plus)
Familiarity with landscape, architecture, or interior design content
Basic motion graphics or animation skills for Reels/Stories
Experience with YouTube content production and long-form video editing
Structure & Compensation This role can start as part-time (15–25 hours/week) with a clear path to full-time as content volume and channels grow. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule is flexible, but must be available for on-site shoots during weekday crew hours (typically 8 AM–4 PM). Some evening/weekend content capture for seasonal events or golden hour shoots.
