Senior Healthy Living Director

This position, in partnership with the entire branch leadership team, will direct efforts to increase member engagement, help members reach their health goals, and build relationships through wellness program development. The Senior Healthy Living Director is responsible for: implementing ongoing tactics to engage new and returning members, supporting health and wellness goals through innovative programs and services, and building and directly supervising the healthy living department team. The Senior Healthy Living Director takes an active role in the branch’s Annual Giving Campaign, including donor and volunteer cultivation. Improving the health and wellness of the community we serve and relationship building with members is a high priority, as is the impact it has on member retention. The ideal candidate must have the ability to lead a team of wellness professionals and communicate and engage with co-workers, members, associates, volunteers, donors and the general public. We seek proven skills in the health and wellness field, financial development, fiscal management, program development, volunteer development, and community partnerships. Candidate must be able to nurture a high-performing team of staff and volunteers focused on relationship-building and member involvement. Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience in health/wellness preferred Previous management experience in recruitment, training, and supervision of staff and volunteer groups, with the ability to maintain all records related to staff certifications and general operations. Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, particularly evening and weekend hours Ability to develop and lead new member connection and education efforts such as orientations, group workouts, special events, etc. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills Ability to set the standards for and model exceptional member service and build a culture of member involvement and engagement among all staff Excellent communication skills, utilizing both verbal and electronic communications Innovative program development skills with a focus on meeting community needs and demand Demonstrated ability to think and lead strategically A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work creatively and independently or as part of a team Sound judgment and decision making, as well as problem solving and interpersonal skills to relate to people of all socio-economic levels and diverse backgrounds A strong, experienced background in group fitness classes with Trainer Level or Instructor Level certifications in multiple disciplines, with the ability to teach classes, train instructors, and this staff group
