Description Oneida Golf and Country Club is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a Tennis Associate! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise all tennis play, proper charging of fees, and rental of equipment.
Initiate, direct, and promote tennis clinics, special events, and programs to attract and maintain members’ tennis interests.
Provide beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels of players.
Implement and develop lesson programs for adults and juniors.
Enforce all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment, and other property.
Properly represent the club in state or national events as time permits.
Prepare a monthly calendar of events.
Work cooperatively with other departments to develop combined programs for the membership.
Ensure proper inspection of the courts/facilities daily prior to the start of play and confirm that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in safe working order; report any maintenance problems to the department manager or Maintenance Manager.
Monitor court usage, including special events, clinics, and lessons.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Manage department members, which may include, but is not limited to, Tennis Instructors.
Assure that effective orientation and training are provided to each new associate and develop ongoing training programs.
Monitor business volume forecasts and plan accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
Implement and maintain excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
