Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single‑source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec is active in several market segments and industries including data centers, commercial real estate buildings, and federal, state, and local government. Climatec has operated as an independent entity, maintaining its offices in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Climatec continues to represent and integrate numerous leading manufacturers’ product lines across its wide range of services, including Bosch products. In 2023, Bosch acquired Canadian‑based security integrator Paladin Technologies. Merging Paladin Technologies and Climatec will significantly expand Bosch’s Integrator Business in North America. Job Summary The Outside Sales Associate supports business development efforts by engaging new and existing customers, estimating projects, interpreting bid documents, and preparing proposals for building automation and mechanical solutions. This role builds relationships within the territory, collaborates closely with sales leadership, and develops technical and sales expertise through hands‑on training and field experience.

Responsibilities

Interface with new and existing clients

Define project requirements, estimate projects, build relationships, gather leads from established business partners, set appointments and recommend optimal Bosch Building solutions

Interpret bid drawings and requirements, estimate project costs and write proposals

Work both independently and cooperatively within your designated area to close sales, secure business, and meet sales targets

Develop skills required to understand sales strategy focused on decision‑makers and business owners to establish a network and gain new business and expand relationships

Collaborate daily with manager and team counterparts

Participate in ongoing training, development, and mentoring

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Understanding of HVAC / controls / mechanical systems

A positive self‑starter attitude

Good communication and people skills

Ability to overcome obstacles and find solutions

A commitment to ongoing learning to build upon past methods is essential

Preferred Qualifications

While an engineering degree is not essential, understanding of mechanical and/or BMS systems is preferred, and/or military experience

1–2 years of previous work experience or internships in Retail, Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, Technical Sales, or comparable fields are also preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (i.e., see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers

Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment

Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)

Working Conditions

The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate

Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without BBT colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction

Driving to customer sites is required

Limited overnight travel may be required

Additional Information

Working Hours: This position generally works Monday‑Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
