A national commercial roofing contractor based in the upper Midwest are looking to expand on their NJ location and are looking for an Operations Manager to drive growth and oversee their high performing team. The company are best known for large scale commercial and industrial projects and have a huge reach across the East coast and Midwest with immediate plans to strategically expand into every major market. Their current need is for a highly experienced commercial roofing professional who has operational and management experience to join their team in NJ and lead their growth across New Jersey, New York, and surrounding areas. This role comes with a lot of growth potential and opportunity to progress through the business as the company continues to grow and you'll be part of a tight knit leadership team. This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior PM or Commercial Roofing leader who is looking to take a step forward, or a roofing Operations Manager who is looking for long-term progression. Responsibilities

Lead the operations team in safe work practices. Lead the team in efficient and profitable execution of installations and repairs through proper proactive planning. Help ensure work is invoiced and cash is collected promptly. Manage sales reps and project managers, and coordinate subcontractors for project execution. Oversee overall operations for the NJ office and coordinate with the leadership team based in the corporate HQ. Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline team members Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues Be responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operational team members Ensure resource availability and allocation, including overall staffing needs Measure project performance utilizing appropriate systems, tools and techniques Provide leadership for the team by building and motivating team members to meet key performance indicators (KPI) Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation Perform all work in strict accordance with scope, directions, specifications and OSHA rules, regulations and company policies. Requirements

7+ years of commercial roofing experience Experience directly managing a team in a commercial roofing or construction company Servant leadership, solid industry experience, connection to the local market. Experience working for a national company is ideal Proven experience in supervising field operations Proficiency in Google, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and project management software Strong leadership and communications skills Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes
