Job Overview The Sales Account Executive is a client‑facing outside sales role operating within an assigned region of the Mid‑Atlantic states. The role involves identifying and managing client accounts and business opportunities for Eurofins Built Environment Testing Division, a group of laboratories that provides Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing for mold, asbestos, Legionella, and more.
The Account Executive will travel throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, approximately 50% of the time, to meet with clients. Cold calling, taking initiative to bring in new business, and cultivating existing relationships are essential. Knowledge and understanding of environmental laboratory testing—especially in indoor air quality, USP797, or Legionella—are ideal.

Maximizing market share, profitability, competitive advantage, and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market.
Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with Eurofins clients.
Providing vision and acquiring new accounts to sustain business growth by representing Eurofins and clearly communicating Eurofins services to new customers and markets.
Identifying opportunities and profitable work by following up on leads, negotiating, and closing.
Serving as a valuable interface between the customer and Eurofins by communicating the customer’s needs to the internal organization and fulfilling the role of customer advocate while teaming with a strong internal team from management, operations, technical staff, quoters, and project managers.
Account Executive Responsibilities
Meet individual revenue goals and regional targets.
Establish and maintain productive relationships between the client and the laboratory.
Ensure customer awareness of Eurofins Environment Testing capabilities and services to improve selling opportunities.
Provide a sales plan forecast for the assigned region.
Review credit status of new and existing customers prior to submitting bids or proposals.
Monitor accounts receivable status and resolve collection issues as needed.
Develop and recommend strategies to facilitate pricing and bid/no‑bid decisions, establish Master Service agreements, and provide budgetary information.
Build client profiles and assess potential and ability to fund work.
Qualify, track, and close leads to increase revenue.
Report sales activity within the assigned area.
Update customer databases to identify business opportunities.
Maintain productive relationships between customers and the Eurofins Environment Testing organization.
Develop and implement account plans detailing specific clients, revenue goals, and related account objectives to attain regional revenue quotas.
Identify key target markets and major accounts, developing strategies within the area of responsibility to attain market position and maintain profitability.
Establish, coordinate, negotiate, and complete Master Service Agreements with customers.
Collect and document information to establish pricing and evaluate Eurofins Environment Testing’s ability to meet customer requirements, achieving desired win/loss ratios, discount percentages, and profitability.
Communicate customer needs and wants to Customer Service Managers and Project Managers to facilitate successful completion of work.
Complete summaries of sales development activities as directed by the GM.
Communicate all business opportunities (bids, quotes, proposals, pricing inquiries) by providing copies or entering information into Eurofins Environment Testing’s database.
Follow up on all outstanding bids, quotes, proposals, and price inquiries to achieve successful sales cycles.
Negotiate pricing and contractual issues within the area of responsibility with GM approval.
Present Environment Testing as a network of laboratories, not limited to lab facilities within a geographic region, to improve operational efficiencies.
Control expenses related to the selling function per Eurofins Environment Testing’s policy with GM approval.
Act as a “sponsor” for National Accounts as needed.
Provide feedback on market conditions to facilitate the development of new products and services.
Maintain relationships with one or more Eurofins Environment Testing network facilities to sustain awareness of operational issues.
Report on business opportunity outcomes, win/lose ratios, and future pricing strategies.
Provide forecasting information to Customer Service Managers to assist operational staff with resource and operational planning.
Assist in the development of sales materials.
Gather and communicate intelligence on competitors within the area of responsibility.
Identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services within the assigned region.
Basic Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Sciences or related field preferred but not required.
Minimum 2‑3 years progressively successful sales experience in a service industry.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory; approximately 50% travel; some overnight travel may also be required.
Environmental industry knowledge.
Valid driver’s license.

This position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday. Candidates residing in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
Salary Range: minimum of USD 70,000/year base + Commission with benefits, PTO, and company matching 401(K) plan. Salary range could be higher for candidates with specific sales experience in environmental testing, especially Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing.
