Job Description We are seeking a seasoned actuarial leader with deep expertise in AXIS modeling and a strong command of annuity products and asset-liability modeling to drive key transformation initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to lead the implementation of Principles-Based Reserves, engage with auditors and regulators, and shape the future of annuity valuation and risk management. Ideal candidates will bring strategic insight, technical versatility, and a collaborative mindset to a high-performing team committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead the investigation, development, and implementation of Principles Based Reserves
Communicate with key stakeholders (auditors, regulators, internal) about regulatory changes
Become the team expert in Annuity Valuation changes
Challenge the status quo and push improvements with a long-term view
Work collaboratively with actuarial, finance, and technology teams
Build tools to produce, test, and review reserve movements
Ability to independently seek out areas for improvement and implement solutions
Relentlessly committed to self-study and investigation.
Qualifications
6 to 8 years of experience.
Five to 10 years of supervisory/management experience.
Additional Qualifications:
FSA
Demonstrated experience in actuarial valuation
Ability to present and explain results to senior management
Experience leading a team and collaborating with others
Proven insurance business knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels
Ability to lead and develop an engaged, high performing team of actuaries
Preferred Experience:
Model experience (AXIS, in particular) is preferred
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
