Role Description This role is for a Lead Designer who will play a key role in shaping the product experience and design direction, working closely with an existing designer and a highly collaborative product and engineering team.
You will take significant ownership over high-impact product areas, help define how users interact with AI-powered workflows, and contribute directly to product strategy and prioritization in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ship quickly in a fast-moving product environment
Design new ways for humans to interact with AI systems
Work on production-grade LLM-powered interfaces
Collaborate closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and external partners
Contribute directly to product strategy, prioritization, and key design decisions
Sample Projects
Designing human-in-the-loop UI patterns to guide LLM behavior
Building AI-driven, auto-filled hypothesis tracking tools
Designing and shipping a mobile app from scratch in weeks
Creating real-time collaboration tools for consultants and investors
Requirements The ideal candidate is a product-minded Lead Designer who:
Has exceptional design taste and strong judgment
Brings deep product sensibility and strong user empathy
Is based in NYC and excited about working onsite
Has led projects end-to-end, from concept to execution
Is opinionated, thoughtful, and eager to influence product decisions
Communicates clearly and is comfortable in client-facing collaboration
Loves working closely with engineers in highly iterative environments
Is curious about AI tools and how they can accelerate design-to-code workflows
