Global Internal Communications Specialist

As a Global Internal Communications Specialist, you will be pivotal in planning, developing, and publishing internal communications across Goodyear’s global channels. In this role, you will create compelling content for platforms such as Goodyear NOW, and digital signage while serving as a strategic advisor on channel strategy and innovative engagement approaches. You will help shape global communication efforts by analyzing results to drive insights and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will support communications for Akron headquarters events and provide ongoing assistance to Communications team leaders as needed.

What You’ll Do

Create, edit, schedule, and publish internal communications (emails, videos, articles, posts, signage) and support major corporate events and initiatives.

Manage and maintain global communication platforms (Goodyear NOW, Appspace), including user support, access requests, channel administration, and performance reporting.

Recommend improvements for communication channels and educate team members on new tools, features, and best practices.

Support external communications through coordinated messaging that amplifies Goodyear’s voice across broader audiences.

Review and manage monthly/weekly communication reports and provide AP‑style copy editing for the communications team.

Play a key role in bringing Akron HQ events to life—overseeing event logistics and signage.

Serve as the central hub for shared mailboxes, routing messages to the right experts.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, or closely related field.

3 or more years of experience in a communications field.

What Will Set You Apart

Master's degree in communications, Journalism, or closely related field.

Experience working with service and client relationships.

Experience developing and implementing creative communication projects and integrated campaigns.

Creative thinker with the ability to both plan and execute.

Highly motivated, self‑directed, task‑oriented and reliable.

Excellent writing skills and ability to identify and deliver storytelling/engaging content.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to be agile and work in a fast‑paced setting that requires multi‑tasking and organization.
