Our Personal Lines team is currently seeking a Home Inspection Underwriter to join our growing team. This is a full time, non-exempt role. This position is hybrid opportunity.
POSITION OVERVIEW The Home Inspection Underwriter evaluates inspections within given authority, seeking guidance from a Sr. Home Inspection Underwriter as needed. This person will collaborate with Hanover Underwriters to assist insureds in resolving identified property loss control deficiencies and identify required improvements while presenting recommendations to enhance or modify where appropriate.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Collaborate with the Prestige and Middle Market Underwriters on mitigating risk and navigating property actions.
Partner with teams across the organization on various projects and initiatives to further develop knowledge of the operations conducted at insured locations; and to ensure the accuracy of the risks we insure.
Leverage new tools and/or processes that are developed to improve Underwriter experience.
Partner with more experienced Sr. Home Inspection Underwriters as part of the continued development of skills related to the internal functioning of the Home Inspection Team.
Ability to counsel agency partners on homeowner’s replacement cost and provide guidance when needed.
Support your agencies and/or states assigned, remaining available for agency visits or agency-facing presentations.
