Position Purpose - Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks The purpose of this position is to perform recurrent quality control reviews of HMDA data to ensure the thoroughness and accuracy of the data on the Mortgage HMDA Loan Application Register (LAR).

Review loan files for data integrity in order to meet federal and company accuracy standards.

Assists in gathering data and prepares the annual HMDA report submitted to HUD annually

Works with Branch and internal personnel to obtain corrections to documents and/or system data when needed

Works with the Fair Lending Analyst and Director of Compliance to create and enforce HMDA Policies and Procedures to ensure HMDA compliance.

Performs other tasks as required by management

Working regular hours in the office on a non-remote basis is an essential function of this position.

Navigate the HMDA system and audit loans for quality and validity errors-comparing data on loan documents and making adjustments in the system.

Qualifications

At least one (1) year of compliance experience preferred but not necessary

Ability to understand and learn compliance concepts and perform administrative and reporting functions

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and knowledge of telephone protocol

Ability to effectively and professionally handle difficult situations that may arise when working with branches/divisions

Ability to multi-task

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Familiarity with Accounting terms and procedures (e.g. debits, credits, General Ledgers, etc.)

Preferences

Work Requirements Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting. To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location). Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
