Position Title
SITE SUPERINTENDENT
Reports To Project Manager
Summary Coordinates scheduling with onsite foremen on various jobs including direct coordination with customer representatives. Attends all required job meetings. Teaches and supervises all crew under his/her direction at all times. Assists in material order placement and coordination with sub-contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the onsite crew has proper tools and materials to complete their tasks daily.
Operates equipment following all federal, state, and OSHA regulations in a safe manner.
Maintains and/or schedules repairs as needed.
Complies with all company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.*
Operates production equipment in accordance with production needs.
Records length of time and quantity of materials used for each job.
Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries.*
Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.
Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
Maintains supplies by receiving and stocking materials in designated areas.
Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
Maintains neat and orderly work areas at all times.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.*
Reports any problems/concerns or discrepancies to the management.
Reports all occupational injuries or illnesses to the supervisor immediately.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times, no exceptions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ability to delegate responsibilities when necessary.
Maintains a clean and organized site.
Takes notes at all job site meetings and relays information to the assigned Project Manager.
Works closely with the Project Manager from the buy-out phase to job completion.
Responds to all job-related emails in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure each job’s paperwork is being filled out in a detailed and timely manner.
The ability to manage multiple projects at the same time is a must requirement.
Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises each Victor Excavation & Landscaping employee onsite. Generally will be overseeing multiple jobs at the same time. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
