Description
Brokerage FID Secured Lending group ("FSL") is seeking an analyst to be part of its lending portfolio management platform based in New York.
FSL provides asset‑backed financing facilities to both asset originators and financial sponsors, and currently manages a portfolio backed by a diverse range of assets including private credit corporate loans, leveraged loans, residential and commercial mortgages, consumer loans, and others in the US, Europe and APAC. The asset‑backed lending portfolio provides financing across consumer loans, esoteric (digital infrastructure, whole business, etc.) and transportation assets.
The FSL portfolio management team provides ongoing portfolio management, risk oversight and monitoring, and reports to senior management and other key constituents (e.g. Credit department, regulators, borrowers, co‑lenders, etc.).
Daily responsibilities would include
Help manage a portfolio backed by a diverse range of assets including private credit corporate loans, leveraged loans, residential and commercial mortgages, consumer loans, and others in the U.S., Europe, and APAC;
Focus on asset‑backed lending portfolios which provide financing across esoteric (digital infrastructure, whole business, etc.) and transportation assets;
Provide ongoing portfolio management and report to senior management and other key constituents, such as the credit department, regulators, borrowers, co‑lenders, etc.;
Provide risk oversight and monitoring;
Analyze and track borrower servicing reports;
Provide oversight of ongoing client requests for fundings;
Assisting in preparing portfolio reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis;
Assist senior asset managers in handling borrower requests and amendments to the facilities;
Conduct market and asset level research;
Keeping track of industry key trends.
Candidates must have the following background & skills
Strong attention to detail;
Some experience with structured products (i.e. ABS, CMBS, RMBS, CLOs, etc.);
Presentation‑creation skills with Powerpoint;
Clear business writing skills;
5+ years of experience. Preferably in Banking (fixed income, asset management or structured products), Rating Agencies, or Accounting Firms;
Business/Accounting/Finance Degree from competitive undergraduate/graduate program;
