About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Marketing, Brand, and Communications to spearhead the organization's external communications, brand, content, and media strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications and brand strategy that aligns with the company's mission, programs, and fundraising priorities. This includes driving long-term brand positioning, owning the messaging framework, and ensuring scientific integrity across all public-facing communications. The role also involves leading the content strategy, overseeing the development of multimedia content, and translating complex topics into engaging storytelling. The VP will be a key leader in the organization, working closely with executive and program teams, and will be expected to have a strong background in media relations, event communications, and partnership management.

Applicants for the VP role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of senior-level experience in external relations, marketing, or media leadership, with a preference for those with a background in nonprofit, healthcare, education, or social impact organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building national brands, leading integrated communications programs, and managing teams. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills are essential, as is the ability to work with high-profile talent and executives. The role requires a strategic, organized, and adaptable leader with a sense of humor, empathy, and sound judgment.
