
Digital UX Strategist, Principal

Your Role
The Digital Experience, Design and Content (DEDC) team's User Experience team is responsible for the user experience and look and feel of Blue Shield of California's digital products and websites. The Digital UX Strategist, Principal will report to the Sr. Manager of User Experience. In this role you will play a critical role in shaping Blue Shield of California's futurestate digital products by defining endtoend experience strategy across complex member, provider, employer, and prospect journeys. You will operate as a senior individual contributor and thought leader, translating business and customer needs into cohesive, AIenabled, and scalable solutions. Your work will directly influence product strategy, experience quality, and the organization's ability to deliver personalized, modern digital experiences at scale.

Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a college degree or equivalent experience
Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience
Requires deep expertise in fullstack product design, including UX, interaction design, visual design, service design, and advanced prototyping using industry standard tools like Figma
Requires proven experience leading experience strategy and design for complex, multijourney digital products across AEM, mobile apps, and web-based app platforms like Angular
Requires strong ability to partner with product and engineering leaders to influence roadmap decisions and solution direction
Requires experience applying AIinformed or datadriven design practices, including experimentation, personalization, or intelligent automation within digital experiences
Experience coaching or mentoring senior designers and strategists in modern product design and continuous discovery practices

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.
Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
