A prominent law firm in the Los Angeles area300 is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Transactions & Finance Associate to join a sophisticated real estate practice. You'll work across the full deal lifecycle on complex, high-value real estate matters for an impressive client base that includes developers, institutional investors, pension funds, and REITs, with direct client contact and meaningful responsibility from day one.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, and ancillary deal documents
Manage deal timelines, coordinate due diligence processes, and interface directly with clients and opposing counsel
Handle acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, real estate finance transactions, and leasing matters
Oversee closing mechanics including managing checklists and coordinate execution of transaction documents
Qualifications
Class Years: 2018-2023 (3-8 years experience)
Outstanding academic achievement required
Major law firm experience required
Required Skills
Substantive transactional real estate experience across more than one core area (finance, joint ventures, acquisitions, leasing)
Strong drafting and negotiation skills with hands-on deal responsibility
Ability to manage matters independently and run deals with appropriate supervision
Top-of-market base compensation: $260,000 - $435,000 depending on experience
