
Associate – Business Personal Property

This role will work alongside a team of consultants to create custom tax savings strategies for clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare annual Business Personal Property renditions and reconcile clients’ fixed assets and financials
Review assessments and file appeals as necessary
Negotiate valuations with local appraisers while creating supporting documentation for hearings
Process annual property tax bills and assist in billing preparation
Maintain client data in a Property Tax software database
Retain client relationships with a focus on minimizing property tax liabilities
Respond to client inquiries and requests from taxing authorities
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or business
Licensed Property Tax Consultant by the Texas Board of Licensing and Regulation
3-5 years of consulting experienceUnderstanding of Property Tax laws, exemptions, and abatements throughout the United States
Experience with Property Tax software (PTMS, OneSource, or SigerTax)
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Analytical, multi-tasker and detail oriented
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Self-motivated
Strong verbal and written skills
Ability to work overtime and/or weekends

Valid driver’s license required
