Associate - Private Credit

A leading middle‑market private credit manager is seeking a
2nd–3rd year Associate
to join its expanding direct lending platform. The firm has built a strong reputation in
middle‑market direct lending
and
opportunistic credit , with a highly entrepreneurial, top‑heavy team structure and a track record of
independently leading and structuring the vast majority of its transactions .
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and execute
middle-market direct lending transactions
(sponsored and non-sponsored).
Perform
LBO modeling
and credit analysis with precision.
Transition over time into
origination and sourcing , leveraging sponsor relationships.
Collaborate closely with senior professionals in a
top-heavy team structure .
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Background:
Investment Banking (M&A or coverage), NOT Capital Markets.
Experience:
2nd-3rd year Associate with strong deal volume and technical ability.
Skills:
Advanced modeling, deep understanding of capital structure, execution experience.
Industry Coverage:
Broad (industrial or business services highly preferred).
Other:
No visa sponsorship; CPA/consulting-only backgrounds are not a fit.
