Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
to join its team. This is a fully onsite role with a high level of responsibility, supporting a busy and sophisticated commercial real estate practice. Important:
Must have at least 5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience in a law firm. Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Las Olas area) Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions. This includes preparing and reviewing closing documents, coordinating closings, managing due diligence, reviewing title and survey matters, and handling post‑closing documentation. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are essential. Primary Responsibilities
Prepare and review closing documents for
commercial real estate
purchase, sale, and financing transactions Prepare and review loan documents, including
UCC Financing Statements Coordinate commercial closings: maintain checklists, circulate signature packages, review settlement statements, and coordinate with all transaction parties Order and analyze title and survey documents; prepare title and survey objections, memoranda, and escrow closing letters Collect and review due diligence items: zoning/governmental compliance letters, UCC/judgment searches, good standing certificates, authority documents, estoppels, and related transactional materials Obtain and analyze zoning reports; conduct zoning‑related research Review leases and prepare lease abstracts Manage document filings, recordings, and post‑closing binders Maintain strong communication with attorneys, clients, and third parties Handle multiple projects under tight deadlines with accuracy and professionalism Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
OR equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience in a law firm Strong title and survey review skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills Professional communication and client‑service mindset Ability to work onsite during core hours (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with overtime as needed Must be able to maintain punctual, physical attendance in the office
