About The Role MiniMed is seeking a District Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of Clinical District Managers and Territory Managers, driving sales performance within budget. The DM recruits, trains, and retains team members, sets territory sales goals, and collaborates with the Regional Sales Director on strategy and planning.
This is a field based position that will support our Southwest District. This will support Arizona, New Mexico, and a portion of Western Texas. Ideal candidates will reside in Phoenix, AZ. The expectation is to be in the field 3-4 days/week.
Set a clear district vision, motivate the team, and foster collaboration between sales and clinical teams.
Maximize sales coverage and performance, using metrics to track progress and ensure territory strategies are executed.
Maintain sales data and records to analyze market trends, guide the team, and communicate competitive insights.
Support strategic account and pre-call planning; interpret business and marketing policies to maintain consistency and responsiveness.
Build strong relationships with key accounts to support sales, market development, service, and clinical programs.
Provide input to regional leadership on sales strategies, promotions, staffing, and product acceptance.
Collaborate with the Inside District Sales Supervisor for efficient pipeline management.
Ensure field personnel achieve revenue and market development goals, and capture HCP engagements via Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner.
Manage district budget and control expenses.
Coach, provide feedback, and evaluate performance through direct interactions and reviews.
Create development opportunities, assess skill growth, and oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and annual reviews for field employees.

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant sales experience (medical device/pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience)
OR
Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience
Nice to Have
2+ years team management experience (with direct reports) or 3+ years successful MiniMed Field Sales experience
Proven sales success in the medical device industry, with recognition such as President’s Club or Rookie of the Year
Strong business planning, territory financial analysis, and data-driven problem-solving skills
Experience leading and coaching high-performance sales teams, providing tailored feedback and motivation
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills; team-oriented
Understanding of the MiniMed business environment and ability to align business and customer objectives
Field Roles Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application. Must be able to drive approximately 100% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.
