Commercial Roofing Estimator
Our team is growing! We are seeking a detail oriented, dynamic person to join our estimating team. As a commercial roofing estimator you are responsible for calculating project costs by determining material, labor, and time requirements for large-scale roofing projects accurately and in a timely manner to meet bid deadlines. Additional estimates for larger repairs as well as roof top maintenance agreements fall within the scope of this role. Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Cost Analysis: Accurately calculate labor, materials, and equipment costs for commercial roofing projects, factoring in time requirements and potential unforeseen issues. Bid Preparation: Develop detailed bid packages on a timeline for projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Scope of Work: Determine the scope of work by gathering blueprints, specifications, and conducting roof surveys. Material Planning: Select materials that balance cost, durability, and project requirements. Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure project needs are met. Problem Solving: Identify and address potential problems that could affect project budget and schedule. Data Management: Review historical data, track contracts, and analyze data using software. Technical Support: Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software and cost control systems is essential. To Excel In This Role, You'll Need:
Experience: Prior commercial roofing experience is preferred, but experience in related fields may be considered. Skills: Familiarity with estimating techniques, CAD software, and relevant software for roofing projects. Attention to detail and strong time management are essential to this role. Knowledge: Understanding of commercial roofing systems (e.g., flat roof systems, asphalt shingle systems) and engineering disciplines Compensation: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
