Description WAGE: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour (Based on experience)

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales Managers and the Director of Sales & Marketing. Responsible for servicing existing clients as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing. Responsible for providing excellent guest service to all Hotel Guests and potential guests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate, some college.

Must have 1-2 years sales administrative experience, hotel experience preferred.

Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

Responsible for prompt handling (within the business day) and distribution of all sales leads, emails, and inquiry calls to the appropriate sales manager.

Responsible for logging leads in system accurately and timely

Responsible for group billing in coordination with sales team and accounting team

Follows up on the progress of groups booked, such as room night pick up, inputting rooming lists, cut off dates, etc.

Generates reports and sales-related documents for clients, sales team, and Director of Sales & Marketing

Knowledge of each sales managers’ market segments and responsibilities in order to direct client inquiries appropriately.

Sends menus, hotel information, thank you letters and all other correspondence to clients.

Responsible for processing of sales contracts turnovers, typing internal and external correspondence and distributing such paperwork to hotel departments and hotel guests as needed.

Assist in the compilation of figures and data for month end and weekly sales reports.

Assist team with preparation for sales trips, trade shows and client appreciation events.

Prepare VIP reservations and other amenity requests.

Responsible for faxing, copying, filing and any other clerical duties.

Handle guest requests as needed. Be knowledgeable about the hotel’s facilities and services. Answer questions and relays basic information to the guest.

Ensure all guests who experience a problem receive an appropriate response, any promised compensation is delivered, and an appropriate follow up in a timely and professional manner.

Attends department meetings and as needed, attends interdepartmental meetings.

Follow supervisor’s instructions and completes other duties as directed or assigned.
