IPG is looking for an entrepreneurial and energetic Sales Account Manager who is responsible for obtaining orders from new and existing customers for Cartesian and robotic work cells in the Northeast region of the United States for our Laser Systems solution offerings. The IPG Laser Systems group manufactures customizable laser welding, cutting, drilling, ablation, and cleaning systems that handle the most common and challenging material processing applications. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional to be a critical member of an exceptional team in a high technology segment. This is a critical role within the IPG Systems Sales and Marketing team and will offer future career growth opportunities with strong performance. Job Functions

Duties/Responsibilities

Own sales development process of inbound leads/opportunities generated from marketing, tradeshows, demonstrations, and events. Closing orders to meet yearly target. Understand the "Market Price" for our solution offerings. Work to get the best payment terms available from each customer. Monitor and report on sales metrics. Provide bookings/revenue forecasts regularly. Works with customers to understand the complete scope of project being quoted. Work with customers to ensure IPG is supporting them effectively; propose and execute improvements where necessary. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Provides or finds technical support for customers when needed. Coordinate with other departments within the company to ensure that customer needs are met. Qualifies business opportunities for commercial and technical validity to align with each year's budgeted booking's goal. Enter and maintain open opportunities in CRM. Seek out and attend training to obtain/maintain technology expertise and relevancy necessary to provide expected levels of knowledge to customers and prospects. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers Supports trade shows and seminars. Follow company policies and procedures and observes all safety regulations. Perform other essential duties as assigned Internal Quality Control Position Authorities

Authority to purchase on behalf of the company according to spending policy. Authority to schedule booking travel according to travel policy. Authority to work out of sequence. Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field (preferred) or demonstrated equivalent work experience 5+ years of sales experience in laser processing and robotic automation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Self-motivation and enthusiasm are essential to generate various sales opportunities. Proven ability to negotiate effectively. Strong English language communications skills - written and verbal. Ability to work in a team environment and, in some cases, lead change through influence. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization and external customers. Detail oriented and strong time management skills. Proven ability to support multiple projects and results-oriented. Highly motivated and hands‑on, with consistent ability to follow‑through on projects. Ability to think critically and problem solve by developing strategies specific to customer needs. Demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguity, rapid growth, and adapt to change. Ability to effectively communicate technical and sales information. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamics 365, or another CRM platform. Physical Requirements

Exempt Wage Information

MA: $99,131 - $160,000 US Benefits Information

Pay Range

The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location posted, the applicable range could differ. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Other Compensation
