Job Title: Account Manager - Footwear
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and partnering with sales leadership in driving footwear sales across designated accounts. This role manages customer relationships, ensures sales targets are achieved, and aligns account strategies with brand objectives to maximize growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborates with the Key Account Managers as well as Sales Leadership in managing account meetings, product assortments, forecasts, presentation decks, and sales strategies.
Manages day-to-day business activities with each customer to ensure account success.
Resolves customer compliance issues (freight claims, chargebacks, shipping violations, RTVs, etc.).
Meets all reporting, forecasting, and order deadlines in a timely and consistent manner.
Provides account-specific feedback to Sales and Product Management teams to inform strategy.
Leverages market insights and account knowledge to maximize product placement and sales opportunities.
Monitors and manages inventory levels to meet sell-through and margin objectives.
Identifies new product opportunities and supports the execution of product strategies.
Stays up to date on product features, benefits, and changes to effectively communicate with customers.
Recommends product assortments that balances account needs with overall brand placement goals.
Manages the full order cycle, including entry, tracking, confirmation, cancellations, and delivery updates.
Ensures strong brand presentation and merchandising execution within all assigned accounts.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in specialty retail and/or field sales/sales support.
Familiarity with the consumer goods industry and product lifecycle.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage clients and internal teams effectively.
Strong relationship management skills with proven ability to build trust and resolve issues quickly.
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and client agreements.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP for sales pipeline and client management.
Salary: $100,000
