About the Role The Customer Care Representative serves as a key point of contact for both internal and external customers, responding to inquiries via phone and email while delivering exceptional service. This role supports company revenue by meeting productivity, quality, and service standards and working collaboratively across departments to resolve customer needs.

Schedule Monday‑Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Work Environment Onsite

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Answer inbound customer calls and emails regarding order placement, order status, product information, and pricing

Monitor shared inboxes regularly to ensure department service‑level goals are met

Process customer orders and complaints accurately and efficiently using ERP systems (Oracle)

Create and maintain customer accounts in CRM/ERP systems

Resolve technical product issues over the phone and prepare Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) as needed

Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including Logistics, Trade Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Sales to resolve customer inquiries

Proactively communicate potential issues or challenges to leadership

Participate in daily department KPI meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Meet or exceed individual performance metrics such as monthly goals, phone availability, inbound talk time, and service‑level standards

Qualifications & Skills

At least 1 year of customer service or technical support experience

Experience handling escalated or irate customer situations

Typing speed of 40 WPM or higher

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
