Your Role The Customer Solutions Architect (CSA) is a pivotal customer-facing technical leader who is instrumental in maintaining and expanding the Teradata ecosystem through technical engagement, advocacy, and opportunity development. Combining substantial expertise in data architecture, analytics, AI, and cloud technologies with exceptional relationship-building skills, the CSA influences technology adoption, demonstrates value, and drives innovation. As a trusted advisor, the CSA proactively engages with customers to comprehend their business and technical environments, mitigate risks, and discover growth opportunities. The primary focus is on outcome-oriented pre-sales activities that align the right technological solutions with business challenges, delivering measurable value. This entails emphasizing Teradata’s capabilities and competitive advantages that foster recurring revenue growth through technical advancement. Key Responsibilities Forge and nurture trusted relationships across customer organizations, from technical teams to executive sponsors.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to fully understand their challenges and value opportunities from their perspective.

Communicate customer feedback, technical challenges, and solution gaps internally to shape product direction and ensure prompt responses.

Showcase the value realization of Teradata solutions through ongoing customer engagement and success planning.

Fostering Adoption and Innovation Promote adoption by illustrating Teradata's technical advantages and underutilized features.

Inform customers about emerging trends, industry benchmarks, and new Teradata functionalities through technical briefings, innovation events, and workshops.

Create and present reusable technical materials, proof-of-value exercises, and hands-on demonstrations tailored to customer needs.

Collaborate with customers to identify new use cases and align the Teradata platform with their long-term goals.

Advancing Technical Opportunities Lead technical discovery, solution design, and scoping to promote identified growth opportunities that aim for an increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR).

Participate in the planning of internal technical roadmaps tailored for each client, aligning current and future architectures with business objectives.

Support proposal development and facilitate communication among internal teams and customers.

Implement high-value, cost-effective sales tactics such as demonstrations, benchmarks, and proofs of concept to reduce risks associated with opportunity progression.

Technical Influence and Execution Exhibit trusted technical leadership through proactive engagement and proven reliability in the field.

Guide customer architecture strategies to incorporate Teradata Vantage within modern data and analytics frameworks.

Ensure alignment of technical execution with account team strategies and customer success objectives for long-term platform expansion.

Be adept at conducting customer workshops and demonstrating how Teradata technology solutions can effectively resolve business challenges.

Continuously enhance your knowledge of Teradata’s full suite of products and related technologies to facilitate deep customer discussions.

Qualifications Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

A strong interest and understanding of developments in data and analytics, including the latest AI/ML trends.

Experience promoting analytics solutions for large enterprises, either in pre-sales or delivery roles.

Practical experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Comfort in creating and presenting hands-on demonstrations focused on AI/ML capabilities and data science initiatives.

Familiarity with the competitive landscape and a solid understanding of Teradata's unique selling points.

A strong communicator who can articulate and summarize messages for diverse audiences.

Ability to understand customer needs and offer thought leadership to foster trust among technical and business stakeholders.

Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.

A degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, mathematics, management information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Pay Rate: 159300.0000 - 199100.0000 - 238900.0000 On-Target Earnings The starting pay for successful candidates will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Sales roles have commission opportunities tied to performance. All other permanent roles qualify for annual incentive plans based on company and individual performance.
