We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Director, Reinsurance Strategy to join our expanding international reinsurance team. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership across the full lifecycle of reinsurance transactions from origination and structuring to execution and portfolio management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and desire to shape the growth of our international platform. You'll work cross functionally with multiple teams, both internally and externally, gaining exposure to all facets of our reinsurance business. How You'll Contribute: Support the business development, negotiation and execution of international reinsurance transactions, coordinating across time zones and managing deliverables with reinsurers, brokers, and banking partners. Assist with all aspects of reinsurance transactions, including structuring, negotiation, due diligence, treaty review, pricing, risk assessment, reporting and attaining internal approvals. Manage the new business pipeline and ensure timely, accurate responses to new opportunities. Maintain relationships with global reinsurance counterparties, intermediaries and market participants. Monitor existing reinsurance treaties, ensuring all treaty requirements are met and issues that arise are addressed in a timely manner. Collaborate with Legal, Actuarial, Pricing, Finance, and Investment teams to ensure all requirements are met across transaction execution, pricing, valuation, and reporting. Assist with the analysis of ceded liabilities, profitability, and capital impacts of deals and prepare management reporting of the business. Assist with evaluating and researching new structures, including interpreting differences in regulatory regimes as they relate to annuity reinsurance structures. Monitor developments in the global annuity reinsurance market, including pricing trends, counterparties, and emerging opportunities. Help build, refine and streamline reporting and operational processes. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. 4-6 years of experience in annuity reinsurance or related transaction support at an insurer, reinsurer, or consulting firm Familiarity with life and annuity reinsurance structures (e.g., coinsurance, funds-withheld, modified coinsurance, offshore arrangements, trust/collateral mechanics). Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (required). Excellent organization, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Curiosity and desire to learn about global reinsurance markets and how to participate in emerging opportunities in this market. Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $160,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
