Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and complete data entry as needed
Review patient account history to understand payments received and amounts due
Provide transaction history summaries to patients regarding copay, coinsurance, and deductibles
Request and obtain payment from patients for balances owed
Document all call information to ensure proper call history is recorded
What is Required (Qualifications):
High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college or Associate's Degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare organization
Must be customer service‑oriented and computer literate
Knowledge of medical terminology and effective mathematical and analytical skills
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to operate an Electronic Medical Record system
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with electronic medical records, preferably eCW
Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
High level of curiosity and self‑motivation
Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
