AI Engine Optimization Specialist - Oracle AI Database

Role Overview As an AI Engine Optimization (AEO) Specialist, you will drive the strategic initiatives that enhance the discoverability and representation of Oracle AI Database technologies in large language models (LLMs). Your expertise will optimize the AI retrieval pipeline, ensuring that features like AI Vector Search and Globally Distributed Database are highlighted with high relevance and factual accuracy in AI-generated responses. This unique role combines elements of information retrieval, semantic search, content engineering, and LLM evaluation. You will collaborate closely with Oracle AI Database Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to develop an impactful AEO program designed to increase organic adoption by making Oracle AI Database content easily retrievable and credible. Key Responsibilities AI Discoverability & Retrieval Optimization Audit and enhance the structure of Oracle AI Database documentation and knowledge resources for optimal indexing and retrieval by LLM-driven systems. Establish best practices for metadata, content taxonomies, canonical sources, and machine-readable formats to improve information extraction and grounding. Formulate strategies to boost semantic retrieval performance. Prompt & Answer Quality Engineering Design effective prompt templates and evaluation mechanisms to enhance retrieval accuracy, coherence, and factuality while minimizing hallucinations. Identify gaps where AI-generated answers fall short and develop content and technical strategies to address these issues. Measurement, Benchmarking & Experimentation Develop AEO reporting frameworks with KPIs that measure retrieval relevance, answer accuracy, citation quality, and latency. Conduct structured experiments to evaluate different content formats and retrieval strategies, analyzing results to refine ongoing methods. Benchmark Oracle's visibility and accuracy against competitors' AI-generated narratives while adapting to evolving AI models. Cross-Functional Execution Work alongside Oracle AI Database Product, Engineering, and Product Marketing teams to implement improvements in content markup, structure, and publishing workflows to enhance AI trust and retrieval effectiveness. Create user-friendly AEO playbooks and materials for technical product managers, including template resources for Q&A and technical summaries tailored for LLMs. Industry Monitoring Stay updated on advancements in LLM optimization, vector search, and semantic discoverability, integrating emerging best practices into your strategies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in areas like ranking frameworks, search optimization, or technical documentation for complex systems. Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and semantic retrieval technologies. Experience with retrieval quality metrics including precision and recall. Strong analytical, scripting, and technical communication skills. Familiarity with Oracle AI Database or comparable technologies is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience optimizing LLM-based applications, focusing on clear and citation-ready content. Experience with NLP architectures and neural networks.
