Job Title
Demonstrates a high level of customer service by working with customers, account managers and contractors to coordinate and create material lists for design projects in a timely and professional manner. Create, maintain, and update estimates of various complexity using customer & contractor drawings, sketches and verbal direction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Performs detailed take-offs on various commercial projects per specifications (language about RFIs, change orders, addendums) Size joists, beams, and headers with the aid of manufacturer's software Create floor joist layouts Interact with truss manufacturers Ensures the copying and scanning is kept up to date Transfers bids into the point of sale software Stays current with all local and state codes Qualifications: Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, to make metric system conversions, exchange rates, and discount calculations. Demonstrates a professional attitude when approaching work assignments Excellent communication and teamwork skills, self-motivated, sense of pride and urgency, personable, well organized Must hold at least 2 year architectural or structural degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience. Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to work with mathematical concepts and experience with computers Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and customers
